Seasoned educator brings over 15 years of experience to strengthen leadership development programs for teachers and administrators

NASHVILLE, TN – Great Days Leadership, a consulting firm dedicated to empowering educational leaders, today announced the appointment of Dr. Rachel Goode as Lead Consultant for K-12 Schools and Executive Director of Operations. Dr. Goode brings more than 15 years of comprehensive educational experience to her new role, having served as a principal, instructional specialist, and classroom teacher.

Most recently, Dr. Goode served as Upper School Principal at Ezell-Harding Christian School in Nashville, where she led initiatives in school transformation, curriculum development, and strategic planning. Her appointment comes as Great Days Leadership expands its mission to address critical gaps in professional development and coaching support within K-12 education.

"We're thrilled to welcome Dr. Goode to our team," said Dr. Matt Paden, President of Great Days Leadership. "Her extensive background in educational leadership and her passion for empowering educators makes her the perfect fit to lead our K-12 initiatives. The statistics are sobering – over half of teachers receive no ongoing instructional support, and most professional development is considered irrelevant to their daily work. Dr. Goode's expertise will be instrumental in changing these numbers and ensuring educators get the support they truly need."

Recent studies highlight significant challenges in educational professional development: 49% of U.S. K-12 teachers report never receiving coaching, 48% say most professional development is irrelevant to their work, and only 50% of principals receive coaching support. Great Days Leadership aims to address these gaps through comprehensive leadership development programs.

"I've long admired the work Great Days Leadership has done to support and strengthen leaders across various sectors," said Dr. Goode. "It's an honor to join this team and contribute to their mission of helping educators thrive. I'm excited to build on the strong foundation they've created and work with schools nationwide to develop strong, effective leadership cultures that ultimately benefit students, families, and entire communities."

Dr. Goode holds a doctorate in Educational Leadership from Lipscomb University and brings specialized expertise in mentoring, instructional coaching, and leadership development. Her role will focus on expanding Great Days Leadership's offerings specifically designed for K-12 educators and administrators.

Under Dr. Goode's leadership, Great Days Leadership will offer expanded services including:

  • Leadership Core Groups: Discussion-based cohorts connecting education professionals facing similar challenges
  • Customized Workshops: Tailored team assessments, professional development sessions, and retreat experiences
  • Webinars: Live and on-demand learning opportunities throughout the school year
  • Individual and Team Coaching: Personalized coaching for educators, administrators, and executive teams

All programs qualify participants for continuing education and professional development credits.

"Being in education is incredibly challenging, and educators deserve better support systems," added Dr. Paden. "We're committed to changing the landscape of professional development in K-12 education. With Dr. Goode leading our schools initiative, we're positioned to make a real difference in helping educators and administrators grow in both confidence and effectiveness."

Great Days Leadership was founded to help leaders across all sectors develop the skills and confidence needed to create lasting positive impact in their organizations and communities.
